Is Sitting the New Smoking?
Employees who sustain workplace injuries in San Jose often suffer from repetitive strain injuries, fractures, or even traumatic brain injuries (TBIs). But it doesn’t take an accident at work to suffer ill health effects from your job. A growing body of research suggests that sitting for prolonged periods of time increases the risk of serious health problems, including heart disease. Dubbed “sitting disease,” this workplace injury has been labeled by some as the “new smoking.”
